In addition, the said tribute would be on the horizon. Well, the company only shared with the media one piece of artwork that shows that the franchise's 25th anniversary celebration is imminent. For now, just stare at the fancy artwork (and all of its glory) imbedded to the left. With the rise of Angry Birds and DoodleJump, people around the world have been introduced into mild gaming through the iPod/iPhone/iPad. Apple looks to up the ante with it's newest member of the family. Hit the break for all the goodies. (Posted by: Harrison Milfeld) (Video via IGN) - At roughly under two minutes, the new Zelda: Skyward Sword trailer shows us what we already love to see (the game's art style and classic puzzles) and what we are already falling in love with (the motion plus-based sword mechanics and new weapons/enemies). Plus, hearing an orchestrated score in a Zelda game is sublime and unheard of...and we love it. A release date can't come soon enough.
After the new trailer reveal at GDC, Nintendo teased the media with possible "tribute" to the Zelda franchise that was unrelated to Skyward Sword. We'll have more on all things Zelda as GDC concludes. Until then, tell us what you think about the trailer in the comments. (Posted by: Eric Rees) Did you play the original Alice? Me either, and I probably have my sanity because I didn't. If you did and you're not in a mental institution, keep your copy because they're pretty rare these days, also you need to get ready for the sequel. This game features a very dark and twisted Alice from the children's story, Alice in Wonderland but this is far from a children's game. There will be insanity, stabbing, craziness and then some more insanity to go with it. Going to be quite the trip for anyone who picks this up. But if you can't wait until June for this quirky little game, do not fear. Dark Horse will be putting out a 184 page art book for the game in May to tide you over until the game. Anyone who doesn't think an artbook for this game will be amazing doesn't know this series. The picture above is a one of the snapshots. Enjoy that until may when the artbook will be released for $34.99. If this sounds cliche, it is - but Singularity has a few things to set it apart. The story and gameplay of Singularity center around the Time Manipulation Device, or TMD, which allows you to age enemies to dust or revert them to mere powerless embryos, as well as interact with your environment in a variety of ways. This intriguing concept is married to a deep plot and immersive game world, but is not without its flaws. See what this reviewer thinks of Singularity after the break. It's a spree shooting simulator. That's right, in School Shooter: North American Tour 2012 you can go on tour through four different school shooting locations, participating in them. Does this sound disgusting and revolting to you? Probably, but Pawnstick doesn't care. "One of our intents with the game is to make it it's own sort of exclusive experience: That any angst-ridden kid who has the idea in his head to shoot up his school, who ends up playing the game, finds it amusing enough of a substitute that it keeps them from doing it in real life." Yeah. I'm sure that will work fine. We won't post a link to the mod, but you're welcome to look it up for yourself. (Posted by: Eric Rees) I enjoy my PS3, there are a lot of things about that I really do think that Sony does well. There are also some things that I think they messed up on (3 firmware updates a week). One of these would be the way they handle charging their controllers. If you don't have a PS3 let me be the first to tell you, you can't charge a Dualshock while the system is off with the standard mini-USB cord they give you, which is only 6 inches long. Not only do you have to sit 10 inches from your TV if you wish to charge and play, but you also have to find a place to set your controller while it charges. Sony is hopefully fixing these problems. There have been third party options for this but for those who want everything Sony, this April will release an official charging stand that will hold two Dualshocks in it. Problem is that they've only announced in in Japan. They're also releasing a new color of Dualshock on that day, "Candy Blue" for those who need a little color in their life. Let's hope that Sony decides to bring this stateside so that I don't have to deal with this charging problem anymore. |
